The Lone Pagan is designed for those Seekers traveling alone on their spiritual path. Wiccans, Druids, Asatruar and others will find useful information to refine their paths, as will those who have not yet established which path they are on.

My name is Angharad y Deri, and I have been a solitary Wiccan for over 20 years. I have also been a Druid since 2006. I find that the two complement each other well.

As a solitary pagan, elaborate titles such as “High Priestess” have little meaning. Therefore, the information I present here is broken down into beginner, intermediate and advanced practices without any titles or degrees associated with the levels. Everyone learns at different paces and in different styles, and I don't believe that conveying or withholding a title has any effect on the overall benefit of spiritual development.

The purpose of the three levels is to establish a foundation at the beginning level, from which the other levels will build. Otherwise it would be like learning to ride a bicycle without first using training wheels. You might still get where you want to be, but there would be a lot more frustration and falling down in the process.

It should be mentioned that learning is a lifetime process. A prescribed 12-month, course will not make anyone a Witch or a Druid. You become one when you start traveling the paths and practicing the arts. It then becomes more a question of how experienced a practitioner you are.
